Having grown up in Los Angeles, family camping trips to the Sierra Nevadas really exposed me to an alternate reality that was so magical and so different from life in the suburbs. The mountains were a place of snake handling, arrowhead hunting, trout stalking, and black bear encounters. Even though I grew up, went to school, got a job, and started a family, that magic never stopped drawing me back.
Over the years, I've become witness to the scars that people have left on many of the places I grew up exploring. As a graphic artist, I decided to create art that paid homage to the wild world around us with a purpose to make a difference.
So, Thunderbird Design Studio was born. An artist-run business with conservation at its foundation. We understand that more needs to be done and that's why we are continuing to donate 10% of all our profits to support conservation organizations across the country.
So far it has been super rewarding to share my art and make friends with people in our fishing and hunting communities. This first year has been a wild ride considering the times and I’m super excited for all the things that we have in the works.
